About Agricultural Events That Citizens Can Participate In

Regarding agricultural events that citizens can participate in, I feel it is unfortunate that there are none available for dual-income households without children.

Inaagri Farm is limited to households with children,
and the agricultural volunteer training course requires classroom sessions on weekday afternoons, so with such conditions, even if one wants to participate, they cannot.
Additionally, I feel that many of the harvest experience events occasionally featured in the city newsletter are limited to households with children.

By the way, in Setagaya Ward, there are agricultural experience events on weekends, and many people from various backgrounds, including younger generations, participated.
This led to interaction among local residents and voluntary participation, creating a positive cycle.

We understand that family farms and farmer-established farms are popular and that there are issues regarding accessibility, so they are not always available for use.

Therefore, at least for one-time or limited-period events, we would like the conditions to be relaxed so that dual-income households and single-person households can also participate.

Regardless of family structure, and even for those who work and can only take weekends off, we kindly ask you to consider providing opportunities to be involved in agriculture in Inagi City.

Response

The city, when implementing projects, determines schedules and recruits participants based on the scale and purpose of the project.
Regarding agricultural-related events, there are the "Agricultural Volunteer Training Course" and "Ina Agri Farm" mentioned in your feedback. Among those held on holidays, there is the annual "Potato Digging Experience" hosted by the Tokyo South Agricultural Cooperative Inagi District Vegetable Section. This is also announced in the city public relations, so we would appreciate your consideration for applying next time.
Based on the content of your proposal, we will use it as valuable reference for future project implementation.
