Sakahama New Station Opening Period

There is a map of the new Sakahama Station on the city website. With the new station, it is expected to create new vibrancy, increase bus users, and lead to improved financial results for the bus company. Improved financial results are believed to enable better treatment for drivers. The blueprint for the new station installation is ready, so we kindly ask for the schedule to be published.

Response

Regarding the new Sakahama Station, it was originally planned as part of the Sakahama-Hirao Land Readjustment Project implemented by Tokyo Metropolitan Government, which was decided as an urban planning project in 1997. However, due to Tokyo's fiscal reconstruction promotion plan and changes in housing policies, the Land Readjustment Project was frozen (effectively canceled), making the establishment of the station difficult.
