Could Inagi City also implement the Tokyo Metropolitan Babysitter Utilization Support Project (Temporary Childcare Utilization Support)?
Response
Regarding the Tokyo Baby-Sitter Utilization Support Project (Temporary Childcare Utilization Support) that you proposed, we confirmed with all 28 Business Operators registered in the Tokyo Baby-Sitter Utilization Support Project last September whether they could dispatch to the Inagi City area, and many Business Operators responded that "it is a very difficult situation."
In light of this situation, we confirmed with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government whether they could respond to the dispatch needs in the Inagi City area, and the person in charge stated, "There is currently a situation where we cannot meet the needs due to a shortage of babysitters."
Given these circumstances, it is desirable for the city to have a system in place that ensures citizens can reliably receive support when implementing child care services. We are proceeding cautiously, paying close attention to the trends in new national parenting support policies. Therefore, we will continue to study the introduction of Tokyo's babysitter utilization support project (temporary care utilization support).
In addition, the city also operates a Family Support Center program, and we provide in-home care until 10 PM, so we ask you to consider utilizing this service.
