About Furusato Tax Donation

I was shown the city's products, but why are the city's most attractive products, such as the legendary pear "Inagi" and projects related to the Yomiuri Giants stadium, not included?
In the wonderful fruit kingdom of Inagi, with Yomiuri Land and Gundam, please develop attractive products that leverage our strengths.

Regarding your question, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the standards for local products that can be offered as return gifts are strict. For example, items such as Yomiuri Giants merchandise and Gundam goods do not qualify as local products and cannot be listed.
The current hometown tax donation system has deviated from its original purpose and has become an excessive competition for return gifts, which is recognized as a problem that shakes the foundation of the local tax system. Nevertheless, Inagi City is working to increase donations by expanding the portal sites for hometown tax donations and widely soliciting return gifts that can convey the charm of Inagi City from Business Operators.
Regarding pears in general, the gifts are already fully booked at the time of shipment, and particularly for "Inagi," we have been informed by Business Operators that it is difficult to offer them due to the low shipping volume and short shelf life. Additionally, the Yomiuri Land one-day pass tickets are already available for sale.
