QuestionI don't want to undergo a mammogram for breast cancer screening because it is painful. What should I do?

Response

Breast cancer can be cured if detected and treated early!
If you are over 40 years old, please have a regular breast cancer screening every two years.

There are many cases of breast cancer that cannot be detected through self-examination. If you think it's okay to go to the hospital only after you notice symptoms, you might miss the "early cancer" stage.

Breast cancer screening includes a questionnaire and mammography (breast X-ray imaging).

Mammography is such an examination

Mammography is an X-ray of the breast, also known as a breast X-ray.
It is an excellent imaging examination method that can detect lumps as small as 1cm. The breast is sandwiched between a plastic plate and a film holder, and X-rays are taken from above.
It is recommended to avoid the period when the chest is swollen.
