Inagi City and Soma City in Fukushima Prefecture have concluded a Friendship City agreement.

Inagi City concluded a Friendship City agreement with Soma City in Fukushima Prefecture, which has deepened exchanges through support for recovery and reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake, on August 18, 2015.

In the future, we would like to promote a wide range of exchanges among residents based on this agreement and deepen our friendship further.

Friendship City Agreement

In response to the significant damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, Soma City in Fukushima Prefecture received support from Inagi City in Tokyo, which began assisting disaster victims with a spirit of friendship immediately after the disaster and worked together with its citizens on recovery and reconstruction efforts.
Through various projects for this support, we aim to continue cherishing the friendship that has blossomed between the citizens of both cities and to assist each other's development, culminating in the conclusion of a Friendship City agreement.
