Inagi City promotes sustainable Community Development and aims to achieve the SDGs through its realization.
To connect the town of Inagi, where rich nature and people coexist, to future generations, we are calling for works that share and raise awareness of issues such as "food loss measures," "waste reduction and recycling of resources," and "littering of garbage and cigarette butts," in order to protect our rich natural and living environments.

Theme

  1. Waste Reduction and Recycling Division "Reducing food loss (leftover food and waste), reducing plastic waste, promoting the 5Rs of waste (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Respect), and matters related to waste reduction, sorting, and recycling."
  2. Littering Prohibition Section "Prohibition of littering, taking pet waste home, and matters related to the beautification of the town's environment"
  3. Prohibition of Smoking in Public Areas "Regarding the prohibition of street smoking, self-restraint on smoking while walking, and the prohibition of littering cigarette butts, etc."

About the Award-Winning Works

  • Winning works will be displayed at the "Environmental Poster Exhibition" held at the Central Cultural Center and SHIROYAMA EXPERIENCE STUDY INSTITUE.
  • The names, school names, and grades of the award winners will be announced during exhibitions and publications. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Winners will receive a certificate and a prize.

Utilization of Award-Winning Works

The works will be digitized and utilized for the following purposes.

  • The three best works will be used on the cover of the "Waste and Recycling Calendar" distributed by the city.
  • The best work of Theme 1 will be affixed to the garbage collection trucks running in the city, and the excellent works will be displayed on the Tama River Sanitation Association observation path.
  • The best and excellent works for themes 2 and 3 will be distributed as awareness materials to citizens who are troubled by dog waste and littering.

Residents, students, and employees in the city

Application Guidelines

  • Size: Quarter-sized drawing paper
  • Color: Free (however, paper cutting and collage are not allowed)

Application Method

  1. Please consolidate applications from municipal elementary and junior high schools and organizations.
  2. Please send or submit directly to the Living Environment Division if you are not 1.
  3. Please fill out the necessary information on the 'Reiwa 6th Year Environmental Poster Application Form' and submit it along with your work.
  4. Please fill in the necessary information on the back of the work (the number of the selected theme, address, name (with furigana), age, phone number, and for elementary and junior high school students, the school name and grade) and submit your application.

Application Period

From September 2, 2024 (Monday) to October 11, 2024 (Friday)

Examination Method and Announcement of Results

  • Divided into three themes, Elementary and Junior High School students will be judged by generation, while those in high school and above will be judged in the general category.
  • Theme 1 will be reviewed by the Mayor of Inagi City Waste Reduction Promotion Council. Themes 2 and 3 will be reviewed by the Inagi City Citizens' Council for Keeping the Town Clean.
  • Thirty outstanding works will be selected from each generation, and from those, one work for each theme will be chosen as the best work.
  • The results of the examination will be notified through the schools or organizations you applied to. If you applied individually, we will confirm the notification.
  • All applicants will receive a participation prize. Excellent works in each theme will be awarded a certificate and a supplementary prize.

Other Topics

  • Submitted works must be original creations by the applicant and must be unpublished.
  • The copyright of the submitted works shall belong to the organizer (Inagi City).
  • There may be exhibitions of digitized works at events held by the city.
  • Multiple people cannot collaborate on the production of a single work.
  • Submitted works will be returned through the school or organization. However, please note that the timing of the return may vary depending on awards or other factors. For individuals who submitted their works, they will be returned directly.
  • When compiling at each school or organization, please create a list of applicants using the "Reiwa 6th Year Environmental Poster Application Form" and submit it along with the poster.
  • Works that do not meet the conditions of "Theme", "Eligibility", "Application Guidelines", "Application Method", and "Application Period" will not be subject to review.
