Accident reporting to the national government will be mandatory for home solar power generation systems (10kW or more).
In recent years, to investigate the causes of fires and electric shock accidents caused by solar panel installations, which have been occurring frequently, and to implement measures to prevent recurrence, from April 1, 2021, among the small-scale power generation facilities specified in Article 38 of the Electricity Business Act,
- Solar Power Generation Equipment (10kW or more, less than 50kW)
- Wind Power Generation Equipment (Less than 20kW)
In the event of an accident, reporting to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will be mandatory.
There are legal penalties for violations of the report.
Note: Residential solar power generation systems under 10kW are not eligible.

- Injuries and fatalities due to electric shock
- Electrical Fire Accident
- Damage incidents to other properties
- Equipment Damage Incident
