There is an increasing number of Older Adults who feel anxious about their daily lives, such as not having relationships with neighbors or lacking people to rely on in times of trouble.
By supporting each other in the community, Older Adults and others can continue to live safely in the familiar area they are accustomed to.
Since fiscal year 2015, Inagi City has appointed Social Welfare Coordinators (Community Support Promoters) and established a discussion forum (consultative body) for community development in collaboration with local residents and related organizations such as the Social Welfare Council.

What is a Life Support Coordinator (Community Support Promoter)?

The Life Support Coordinator (Community Support Promoter) plays a role in creating opportunities for community discussions and connecting local residents.
The city has placed a first-level life support coordinator, and a second-level life support coordinator at each Community General Support Center.

What is a deliberative body?

This is a place to consider community building through mutual support. There are first-level and second-level discussion bodies.
The first layer of the deliberative body is a place to discuss city-wide issues, while the second layer of the deliberative body is a place to discuss local issues.
Issues that cannot be resolved by the second layer deliberative body will be raised to the first layer deliberative body for discussion.
