The Inagi City Disaster Response Support Plan has been established
In large-scale disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Kumamoto Earthquake, and the July 2018 Heavy Rain, the administrative functions of the affected municipalities significantly declined immediately after the disaster occurred. This made it difficult to adequately respond to the acceptance of support municipalities and disaster prevention-related organizations, as well as to consolidate support needs. Additionally, securing the necessary personnel amidst the enormous emergency recovery operations became a challenge.
In this context, Tokyo Metropolitan Government formulated the Tokyo Disaster Response Support Plan in January 2018, and established procedures and rules for the support system in collaboration with municipalities to facilitate early assistance to disaster-stricken areas.
From this, in order to establish a support system for disaster response in collaboration with Tokyo Metropolitan Government, based on the Inagi City Regional Disaster Prevention Plan, we clarified the roles, contact points, specific rules, procedures, and systems related to the support system during disasters as much as possible, aiming to build a smooth cooperation system with other municipalities and disaster prevention organizations. In June 2022, we formulated the Inagi City Disaster Response Support Plan.
