Inagi Fire Station started operating the "119 Integrated Location Information Notification System" on January 14, 2015. When a 119 call is made from a mobile phone, landline, or IP phone, the caller's voice call and information about the location being reported (location information) are simultaneously notified to the fire station's communication command center. This allows for more reliable confirmation of the information necessary for dispatching fire crews. (Previously, location information was only available for 119 calls made from mobile phones and IP phones.)
Reports from mobile phones, which often have unclear addresses, are expected to be effective, but there may be discrepancies due to the accuracy of location information. Therefore, when reporting, please continue to verbally provide the address or target location as before.
