Measures based on the re-inspection of the intersection have been completed

Due to the occurrence of serious traffic accidents at intersections with crosswalks in other prefectures, from May 11 to May 24, 2019, we urgently conducted a re-inspection of major intersections in the city by our staff to ensure pedestrian safety.
Regarding the intersections of city roads that were determined to require "consideration of measures" during this re-inspection, we have sequentially implemented measures such as the installation of guardrails, starting from the intersections with high priority. We completed the installation at 4 locations in fiscal year 2019 and at 28 locations in fiscal year 2020.
We will continue to take various measures to prevent traffic accidents from occurring in the first place.
