Response to City School Advocacy Consultation

We will respond through face-to-face consultation.
Please note that changes may occur in the future due to the impact of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

What is the Advocacy Consultation Room

The Public School Advocacy Consultation Office is a consultation desk established to promptly resolve opinions, requests, and complaints from students of Inagi City Public Schools and their parents or guardians, by protecting their rights and interests. It has been open since June 23, 2006.
"Advocacy" is the English word advocacy, which is translated into Japanese as "rights protection," "support activities," and "representation activities."

Purpose of System Implementation

In the context of school education, there are individuals who feel unable to directly communicate their dissatisfaction or questions to the school, and believe that even if they do speak up, nothing will improve. As a measure to address this situation, an independent consultation room has been established by the Board of Education to facilitate early resolution, thereby enhancing the trust between students, their Parent or Guardian, and the school, with the aim of further improving satisfaction.

About Advocacy Counselors

Advocacy counselors who receive consultations are individuals with extensive educational experience, appointed by the mayor as counselors to primarily advance this system.
Specifically, we act in a position to protect the rights and interests of children, students, and their Parent or Guardian, including responses from consultation to resolution, as well as reports and opinions to the Advocacy Review Board.

About the Advocacy Review Committee

The Advocacy Review Committee is an independent body that receives reports from the Advocacy Officer, conducts reviews of issues that have been submitted for examination in a fair and neutral manner, and makes recommendations to the Mayor based on the results. It is composed of four review committee members appointed by the Mayor.

About Privacy Issues

Children and students, along with their Parent or Guardian, can consult freely with advocacy counselors who are in a neutral position. Additionally, privacy will be protected.
