Reduced Tax Rate System for Consumption Tax (Notice from Hino Tax Office to Business Operators)

The reduced tax rate system for consumption tax will be implemented simultaneously with the increase of the consumption tax rate to 10% starting from October 1, 2019.
Not only for Business Operators who handle items eligible for tax reduction, but also for establishments that purchase food and beverages as meeting expenses or entertainment expenses, as well as for tax-exempt Business Operators, it is necessary to prepare for the implementation of the system, such as confirming the applicable tax rates for handled products and segregated accounting by applicable tax rates.
