Basic Green Plan - Plan Document (Revised Version March 2023)
Purpose of the Amendment
In Inagi City, based on the Green Basic Plan formulated in 2012, we have developed various measures for the conservation and utilization of green spaces, the development of parks, and Community Development related to water and greenery, with the vision of "A City of Life Where People Interact with Water and Greenery." More than 10 years have passed since the plan was established, and as the planning period has expired, we will revise the Green Basic Plan for the next 10 years.
Over the past 10 years, the Land Readjustment Project in the Kamihirao area, the Odaryo area, and the eastern Minamiyama area, as well as the JR Nambu Line elevated crossing project, have progressed, significantly changing the appearance of the town. Socially, there is an emphasis on the conservation of biodiversity, and efforts are being made towards achieving carbon neutrality to address climate change issues, necessitating the comprehensive and planned promotion of policies related to environmental conservation and creation, as well as renewable energy. Furthermore, based on the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, there is a need for parks and green spaces that can be utilized as evacuation sites for citizens to enhance local disaster prevention functions.
