Boat Race Edogawa
Inagi City, along with Tama City and Akiruno City, forms a partial administrative association called the Tokyo Three City Revenue Business Association, and conducts boat racing business at Boat Race Edogawa.
This is a public competition established under the Motorboat Racing Law, similar to horse racing, bicycle racing, and auto racing. The profits from this business are utilized as a valuable financial resource for the city to promote community development, such as urban infrastructure development projects.
Boat Race Edogawa is the only racecourse among the 24 venues nationwide that uses a river for its racing course (utilizing the first-class river Nakagawa Waterway).
When you visit the racetrack, you will be greeted by two large demon statues at the entrance gate. As you proceed into the venue, you can enjoy the works of Shigeru Mizuki, nostalgic movie posters, and paintings, all while experiencing the retro atmosphere of the Showa era.
In addition, with the establishment of the external sales office "BOAT RACE 365", thorough separation of smoking areas, improvements to air conditioning facilities, and the installation of café spaces, it has become a space that can be enjoyed by a wide range of age groups.
How about enjoying the thrilling boat races from the embankment stand overlooking the Skytree on the opposite shore?
