Subsidies for Disaster Preparedness Storage

When we tried to repair the disaster prevention warehouse owned by the Neighborhood Association using subsidies from Tokyo Metropolis, we received a response from the Inagi Fire Station stating, "The Inagi Fire Station does not belong to the Tokyo Fire Department, and the disaster prevention warehouses lent by Inagi City to each Neighborhood Association in the city are not eligible for Tokyo Metropolis subsidies."
Does Inagi City plan to provide any subsidies to Neighborhood Associations this fiscal year for disaster prevention to support the "self-help" aspect?

Response

Regarding subsidies for Neighborhood Associations related to disaster prevention, there are currently no plans for city-specific grants; however, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Bureau of Life and Culture offers a program called "Town and Neighborhood Association Disaster Prevention Stockpile Warehouse Installation Subsidy," which provides financial assistance for the installation of disaster prevention stockpile warehouses and the repair costs of warehouses owned by Neighborhood Associations.
Please note that the subsidy under this system applies to disaster prevention warehouses owned by neighborhood associations or town associations, and disaster prevention warehouses lent and installed by the local government (Inagi City) are not eligible for the subsidy.
This does not mean that it is not eligible for Tokyo Metropolitan Government subsidies because it does not belong to the Tokyo Fire Department.
Based on the Inagi City Independent Disaster Prevention Organization Development and Guidance Guidelines, the city supports the Tama Inagi Condominium Independent Disaster Prevention Organization by installing disaster prevention warehouses on the premises, providing and lending disaster prevention equipment and materials, and promoting mutual assistance efforts.
Regarding the repair of disaster prevention warehouses established by the city, if it is determined that repairs are necessary, the Inagi City Fire Department Disaster Prevention Division will respond appropriately.
We will continue to support the efforts of voluntary disaster prevention organizations in conducting training and other activities, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
