QuestionReason why Inagi City does not outsource administrative tasks to the Tokyo Fire Department

Response

Fire service duties are stated in Article 6 of the Fire Service Organization Act, which mentions the "responsibility of municipalities regarding fire services," and it is stipulated that "municipalities have the responsibility to adequately fulfill fire services within their respective areas." Furthermore, according to Article 7 of the Fire Service Organization Act, the management of municipal fire services is to be conducted by the mayor in accordance with municipal ordinances.
From this, our city has established the Inagi City Fire Department, fire stations, and Branch Offices as part of the city's fire protection system. City employees promote fire protection activities such as fire prevention, emergency services, and disaster response, ensuring the safety and security of our citizens.
