In Inagi City, there are many places to enjoy cycling, such as the Tama River Cycling Road and the Minami-Tama Ridge Main Road, attracting many cyclists from both inside and outside the city.
In addition, in 2018, we introduced a bike-sharing system and are focusing on improving the environment to enhance mobility within the city.
Furthermore, the cycling events (road race) of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games passed through the city.
From now on, we will continue to promote community development that is attractive to cyclists, under the slogan "Inagi, the Bicycle Town."
Note: Due to the revision of the Road Traffic Act, wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle has become a voluntary obligation as of April 1, 2023. We have heard from the operating Business Operators that they will not provide helmets at share cycle stations due to hygiene issues and safety concerns related to size mismatches. However, we encourage users of share cycles to actively wear helmets for their own safety.
