In Inagi City, ENEOS Corporation has concluded an agreement regarding collaboration and cooperation for the recycling of household used cooking oil, and is collecting household used cooking oil.

Recycling of Household Used Cooking Oil

Recycling Process

This is an initiative to recycle used cooking oil.

The waste cooking oil collected by mobile sales vehicles from Keio Store and Keio Corporation is processed to remove impurities by the partner collection company, Yoshikawa Yushi Co., Ltd., and is recycled into products such as soap and ink by business operators.

In the future, we also plan to recycle into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

What is SAF

SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) is aviation fuel produced from non-fossil materials such as used cooking oil and animal fats. Compared to fossil fuel-derived fuels, it can reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases, including CO2. ENEOS Corporation aims to supply household used cooking oil as part of the raw materials for SAF production plants in the future.

How to Use

1 Obtain a dedicated returnable bottle

For the collection of used cooking oil for households, a dedicated returnable bottle is used.

Distributed at each Keio Store and the mobile sales vehicles of Keio Corporation.
