The gas meter (microcomputer meter) detects tremors of around seismic intensity 5 or higher, and if it senses any abnormalities in gas usage, the safety device activates and automatically shuts off the gas.

Performing the reset operation will allow you to use gas, but the method for resetting varies depending on the type of gas meter. Please check the link below for details.

Safety Check When Resuming Gas Use

  • Check for gas leaks or gas odors!

In case of a gas leak or gas smell, do not use gas, close all appliance valves and the main gas valve, and contact the emergency contact number.

  • Check for any damage to gas appliances!

If your gas appliances are damaged, please do not use gas and request repairs from the appliance manufacturer.
