June is the Month for Promoting the Elimination of Employment Discrimination
Eliminate Employment Discrimination: The Human Rights Awareness of Companies and Society is Questioned
Employment is fundamental for people to live happily, ensuring stability in life and social participation through work. Therefore, recruitment selection must be conducted fairly based on the applicant's aptitude and abilities.
However, there are still cases where questions about permanent domicile, beliefs, or convictions are asked during interviews, which strongly risk leading to employment discrimination.
In Tokyo, June is designated as the "Employment Discrimination Elimination Promotion Month." To eliminate employment discrimination and ensure equal employment opportunities, we collaborate with the Tokyo Labor Bureau and Hello Work offices to carry out various awareness activities. On this occasion, why not join us in reflecting on human rights issues within companies, such as employment discrimination?
