Tokyo Partnership Oath System

In Tokyo, we promote understanding among residents regarding diverse sexualities and have started the operation of the "Tokyo Partnership Oath System" from November 1, 2022, to create an environment that makes it easier for individuals, including those in sexual minority partnerships, to live by alleviating inconveniences in their daily lives.

The Tokyo Partnership Oath System is a system that certifies the acceptance of an oath and notification from two individuals in a partnership relationship by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
