Tokyo Metropolitan Housing is housing provided at low rent for those who are struggling with housing.

Eligibility Requirements

There are income requirements set for Tokyo Metropolitan Housing applications. If you would like to check the income requirements, please refer to the income standards table below.

Overview of Eligibility for Family Applicants

• As of the application date, residing in Tokyo.
• Having cohabiting relatives. (This also includes those in a partnership relationship.)
• Having difficulty securing housing.
• Income is within the specified criteria. (The total income of the applying household must be within the income standard range.)
• The applicant (including cohabitants) must not be a member of an organized crime group.

Overview of Eligibility Requirements for Single Applicants

• Must be a single person who has continuously lived in Tokyo for more than 3 years (in principle, no relatives living together at the time of application).
• Must meet one of the requirements such as being 60 years of age or older.
• Having difficulty securing housing.
• Income must be within the specified standards. (The applicant's annual income amount must fall within the income criteria.)
• The applicant must not be a member of an organized crime group.

Recruitment Period and Others

[1] Regular Recruitment (4 times a year)

Once the details such as the recruitment period are decided, we will inform you on the city website and the Inagi Newsletter.
In addition, we will also inform you through the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's public relations paper, public corporation website, and telephone service.

Note: The point system is limited to single-parent households (mother-child households, father-child households), Older Adults, persons with disabilities, large families, and households using wheelchairs.

Distribution of Application Forms

Application forms will be distributed during the application period at Inagi City Hall, Hirao Branch Office, Wakabadai Branch Office, each Cultural Center, and the Welfare Center, as well as at the Tokyo Metropolitan Housing Supply Corporation's Public Housing Application Center and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office (only during business hours).
