Since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, major earthquakes have occurred across the country, including the Western Tottori Earthquake, the Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake, and the Great East Japan Earthquake, resulting in extensive damage.

In the Great Hanshin Earthquake, it is said that about 90% of the deaths caused by the earthquake were due to building collapses, with significant damage observed in buildings constructed before May 1981 (designed according to older standards). According to the National Central Disaster Prevention Council, the occurrence of the Tokai, Tonankai, and Nankai earthquakes, as well as a capital region earthquake, is imminent, making the seismic retrofitting of buildings with low seismic performance an urgent task.

In this situation, Inagi City is providing support for the promotion of seismic retrofitting of wooden houses through seismic diagnosis and renovation subsidies. Please consider seismic diagnosis and renovation to protect your important lives and property.
