The city provides subsidies for part of the expenses necessary for the creation of hedges, the removal of block walls, and the installation of fences, in order to improve the streetscape, promote greening along roads, and prevent the occurrence of disasters.

  • Note: Each subsidy has its own requirements. For more details, please see "Subsidies for the Construction of Hedges, Removal of Block Walls, and Installation of Fences."
  • Note: The installation of hedges and fences will only be eligible if they can be managed properly.

Safety Inspection of Block Walls and Similar Structures

Block walls and similar structures may collapse due to natural disasters such as earthquakes or deterioration over time. If they collapse, it could not only cause harm to individuals but also hinder evacuation and rescue activities.
First, please cooperate with the safety inspection to check if the block walls you own are leaning or have any cracks.

Inspection Items (Visual Inspection)

  1. Isn't the fence too high?
  2. Is the thickness of the wall sufficient?
  3. Is there a retaining wall?
  4. Do you have a foundation?
  5. Is there any tilting, cracking, or shaking in the fence?

For more details, please check the 'Inspection Checkpoints for Block Walls, etc.' below.
