What is Agricultural Volunteer Work?

The agricultural volunteer system is a program where volunteers assist farmers who are struggling to manage their farms due to aging and a shortage of successors, providing help free of charge.
The purpose is to deepen交流 with agricultural producers and understanding of Inagi agriculture.

Let's learn at the Inagi Agricultural Interaction School!

Since fiscal year 2016, our city has been offering the "Inagi Agricultural Interaction School" to train volunteer farmers.

We will conduct a course that divides vegetable cultivation and fruit tree cultivation into separate sections by year, allowing participants to learn cultivation techniques over the course of one year.

After completing the course, you will be dispatched as a volunteer for agricultural support to various farmers, playing an active role in promoting agriculture in Inagi.

Fruit Tree Division

In the fruit tree department, you can learn the knowledge and techniques of pear cultivation, which is a specialty product of Inagi.

Pear cultivation involves various tasks throughout the year, from spring pollination to winter pruning and branch processing, allowing you to experience the growth of pears over the course of a year.

In addition, in this course's practical training, we will work in the orchards of farmers from the Inagi Pear Production Association.

This is a valuable opportunity to learn in an actual orchard.

After completing the course, you will be dispatched to pear farmers as a volunteer for fruit tree support specialized in pear cultivation, where you will be active.

The recruitment for this fiscal year has ended.

The timing of sowing and the method of harvesting vary depending on the type of vegetables.

The practical training of this course is guided by the Inagi City Agricultural Committee at the training field, allowing participants to experience the planting of seasonal vegetables over the course of a year.

After completing the course, you will be dispatched to vegetable farmers as a volunteer to assist in farming and contribute actively.

There are no applications for this fiscal year. The next application period will be around September of 2025.
