The "Outsourcing Status Report" for home-based work must be submitted by April 30
Please submit the Notification by April 30
Those who outsource work (such as piecework) to home-based workers are considered "outsourcers" under the Home-based Work Act and are required to submit the Notification.
This is a report submitted to the Tokyo Labor Bureau through the relevant Labor Standards Inspection Office regarding the number of home-based workers as of April 1 each year. Please download the form by clicking the "Notification" below or obtain it at the nearest Labor Standards Inspection Office, and submit it by April 30.
Note that a "home worker" as defined by the Home Work Act refers to a person who receives materials, does not employ others, and carries out manufacturing or processing of goods solely with cohabiting relatives, earning wages for this work. Therefore, individuals who receive commissions for tasks that do not involve processing goods, such as addressing envelopes or building websites, do not fall under the category of "home workers."
For more details, please contact the Tokyo Labor Bureau Labor Standards Department Wage Section Home-based Work Unit (03-3512-1614) or the nearest Labor Standards Inspection Office.
