To All Citizens

We sincerely thank you for your understanding and cooperation in the City Administration.

Currently, there have been confirmed cases where suspicious messages impersonating the Mayor of Inagi City, Katsuhiro Takahashi, have been sent through the inquiry forms on the city website, requesting the creation of a LINE group.

These are malicious impersonations completely unrelated to the Mayor himself or City Hall.

In the unlikely event that someone claiming to be the mayor or a city employee encourages you to join a LINE group or contacts you suspiciously, please do not respond under any circumstances, and strongly refrain from joining or providing personal information.

Regarding this incident, we have already reported and consulted with the relevant police station and are taking countermeasures.

We ask all citizens to continue checking accurate information on the official City website and social media, and to be very cautious to avoid falling victim to fraud or other scams.

If you notice anything suspicious, we would appreciate it if you could promptly report it to the relevant department at City Hall.
