Overview of the Regional Revitalization Plan

The Regional Revitalization Plan is a plan created based on the Regional Revitalization Act to comprehensively and effectively promote the revitalization of the local economy, the creation of employment opportunities in the region, and other aspects of regional vitality.
The Regional Revitalization Act stipulates support for initiatives aimed at the voluntary and independent revitalization of local communities through the certification of regional revitalization plans created by local governments and the support measures based on the certified plans. Local governments can utilize financial and other support measures for the implementation of projects described in their regional revitalization plans by obtaining certification from the Prime Minister.

Regional Revitalization Plan and Comprehensive Strategy for Towns, People, and Jobs Creation

The "City, People, and Work Creation Act," which establishes the overall direction for regional revitalization, and the "Regional Revitalization Act," which provides specific support measures for the realization of regional revitalization in individual areas, work together to promote regional revitalization.
If a regional revitalization plan is created that incorporates projects described in the "Comprehensive Strategy for Towns, People, and Business Creation" formulated based on the "Act on the Promotion of Towns, People, and Business Creation" and receives certification from the Prime Minister, it is possible to receive grants from the Local Revitalization Promotion Grant (Town, People, and Business Creation Grant) within the budget for the relevant projects and to utilize the corporate hometown tax system.
