The sewerage disposal methods include "separate system" and "combined system". In Inagi City, the separate system is adopted.
Separate Drainage System refers to a method of disposing of rainwater and wastewater separately, with rainwater being discharged into roadside ditches (and some rainwater pipes).
In addition, wastewater is biologically and chemically treated at the Minami-Tama Water Reclamation Center (sewage treatment plant) and released into the Tama River as clean water.

What is drainage equipment?

Drainage facilities are constructed and maintained at the user's expense within the property, and they are facilities that carry all wastewater from kitchens, bathrooms, laundry, and toilets to the public sewer system.
