About the Rainwater Discharge Assumption Area Map

The "Rainwater Discharge Assumption Area Map" indicates areas where flooding is expected if rainwater cannot be discharged from drainage facilities due to the assumed maximum scale rainfall (153 mm per hour) as stipulated in Article 14-2 of the Flood Control Act.

Differences Between the Rainwater Discharge Assumption Area Map and the Rainwater Inundation Assumption Area Map

The Rainwater Discharge Assumption Area Map is created based on Article 14-2 of the Flood Control Act,
while the Rainwater Inundation Assumption Area Map has no legal basis and is intended to help recognize the risk of internal water flooding within Inagi City.

About Terms

Internal Water Flooding

A phenomenon where drainage facilities become unable to process rainwater during heavy rain, causing water to accumulate on the ground.

Expected Maximum Rainfall

Rainfall with a probability of occurring less than or equal to 1/1,000 in one year

(1/1,000 means it occurs approximately once every thousand years.)
