If it becomes difficult to pay the National Pension insurance premiums due to the impact of COVID-19, you can apply for a temporary special exemption.

Eligible Individuals

Persons who are National Pension Category 1 insured and meet all of the following criteria

  1. Since February 2020, income has decreased due to the impact of COVID-19
  2. Based on the income situation since February 2020, it is expected that the estimated income for the current year will reach a level that qualifies for the exemption of National Pension insurance premiums.

Target Period

Applications for Fiscal Year 2022 (for students, from April 2022 to March 2023; for non-students, from July 2022 to June 2023) are accepted until.
National Pension premiums from the month two years and one month prior to the application month will be applicable.

Fuchu Pension Office, City Hall Insurance and Pension Division

Required Documents

Students

Identity verification documents (My Number Card, driver's license, etc.), National Pension student payment exemption Application Form, income declaration, student ID
Note: Those applying by mail using their My Number should attach a copy of their My Number Card or other identification documents.

Non-students

Identity verification documents (My Number Card, driver's license, etc.), National Pension exemption and payment deferment Application Form, income declaration form
Note: Those applying by mail using their My Number should attach a copy of their My Number Card or other identification documents.
