The seal registration certificate is an important document required for real estate registration, vehicle registration, and other procedures.
To prevent unauthorized registration and misuse by others, it is a principle that the individual must apply for seal registration directly at the counter. In unavoidable cases, an agent can also apply for seal registration, but a letter of authorization is required.

People Who Can Register a Seal

Residents registered in Inagi City can register one seal per person.
Caution Persons under 15 years old or those without the capacity to make decisions cannot register.

  • Names, surnames, and aliases that are not represented by any combination of those registered in the Basic Resident Register (Certificate of Residence)
  • Items already registered by members of the same household

Regarding Re-registration

When requesting a seal registration certificate, you need to present your seal registration card.
If you lose your seal registration card, you will not be able to request a seal registration certificate, so you need to go through the re-registration procedure. Also, if you want to change the registered seal, re-registration is required.
Note: "Seal re-registration" means canceling a registration once and then registering again. The re-registration follows the same procedure as a new registration. (See above)

  • Note 1 A re-registration fee of 300 yen for reissuance of the seal registration certificate is required.
  • Note 2 The procedure by an agent requires a power of attorney, just like during new registration.
