Recruitment for Tama Region Peace Youth
Introduction
This project is a joint initiative of 26 cities that are members of the Peace Network of Mayors in the Tama region of Tokyo.
Based on the concept of "Promotion of a Culture of Peace" outlined in the Action Plan of the Peace Mayors Conference (PX Vision), we are forming a network of 26 cities in the Tama region to work together to instill in each citizen the awareness to think about and act for peace in their daily lives.
This is an initiative aimed at fostering the "Tama Region Peace Youth," which can convey the horrors of war and the importance of peace from a young perspective through training in the Tama region and exchanges with Hiroshima atomic bomb survivors and younger generations.
