Peace Mayors Conference Tokyo Tama Region Peace Network
The Peace Mayors Conference Tokyo Tama Region Peace Network consists of 26 cities that are member cities of the Peace Mayors Conference in the Tokyo Tama region. The Peace Mayors Conference has set a new goal of promoting "peace culture" in its action plan (PX Vision) until 2025. The 26 cities in Tama aim to promote peace culture by fostering an awareness among each citizen to think about and act for peace in their daily lives. This is achieved by forming an inter-municipal network in the Tokyo Tama region, facilitating mutual information sharing and exchange among municipalities, with the goal of enhancing the promotion of peace culture throughout the entire Tama region.
Declaration
We, the Peace Mayor's Conference Tokyo Tama Region Peace Network, declare our commitment to jointly work towards the promotion of a culture of peace as outlined in the Peace Mayor's Conference's vision for peaceful transformation towards a sustainable world.
First, each citizen wishes for peace and considers what they can do in their daily lives to act on it, establishing a "culture of peace" in the Tama region of Tokyo and fostering a consciousness of peace within civil society.
We will share and inherit the realities of war and the atomic bombing, and cultivate bearers of a "culture of peace."
First, in order to establish a culture of peace around the world and achieve lasting global peace, the municipalities in the Tama region of Tokyo will collaborate to promote a culture of peace and will communicate these efforts both domestically and internationally.

Peace initiatives implemented by each city
We will share and disseminate information among the 26 cities in the Tama region, aiming for citizens to mutually participate in peace initiatives and visit historical sites.
[Hino City] Peace Gathering: Connecting to the Future, Hino City's Declaration for Nuclear Weapons Abolition and Peace City
A lecture on the origins of the Peace Declaration, along with graphic recording techniques for the first time in Hino City, will simultaneously explain the content of the lecture in a way that is easy for children to understand. About 40 years ago, amidst the global spread of nuclear armament, the Peace Declaration was born in Hino City, wishing for global permanent peace and a peaceful daily life. Let's touch upon the unchanging wishes of the citizens of Hino City for peace at that time and think about peace together.
(Note) Graphic recording is a method of deepening understanding and empathy by capturing and illustrating not only what has been said but also thoughts and feelings that have not yet been expressed in words.
[Hachioji City] 39th Peace Exhibition - Feelings I Want to Convey to Children
The 39th Peace Exhibition "Feelings I Want to Convey to Children" will be held at three venues in Hachioji City. In addition to photo panels related to the Hachioji air raid and displays of drawings depicting a "peaceful town" created by elementary and junior high school students studying in the city, there will also be storytellers who experienced the Hachioji air raid. Please come and take this opportunity to think about peace again.

The event will be held in two parts: the first half will feature a talk session on "Culture Connected to Peace," and in the second half, each guest group will split into booths to engage in group discussions with participants.
At the Peace Exhibition, we will display "Pictures of the Atomic Bomb" created in collaboration between students of Kiyomachi High School and atomic bomb survivors, borrowed from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, as well as atomic bomb photographs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki borrowed from Hino City, and we will screen the DVD of "The Day the Sun Was Lost."

The Kunitachi Atomic Bomb and Tokyo Air Raid Experience Inheritors' Talks are conducted by the "Kunitachi Atomic Bomb and Tokyo Air Raid Experience Inheritors" who have been commissioned by the city to share the experiences of Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bomb survivors, as well as those of the Tokyo air raid, and their thoughts on peace, with the aim of passing these stories on to the next generation. "Are you okay with this world where there is war?"
This is the catchphrase for this peace exhibition, conceived by high school students who have served as dispatch members in the Tama City Children's Atomic Bomb Victims Dispatch Program.
This peace exhibition will convey the importance of a peaceful daily life from various aspects of "expression," including film screenings, sculptural works, pantomime, and children's essays, under the theme of "How to pass on peace to the generation that does not know war."
In addition, we will distribute the workbook "Let's Draw Peace with Keith Haring" to children who visit during the limited period and number of copies.
Please be sure to see, hear, and feel the Peace Exhibition at the venue.
