In March 2006, the city formulated the 'Inagi City Comprehensive Health and Welfare Plan,' which consists of five plans: 'Community Welfare Plan,' 'Older Adults Health and Welfare Plan,' 'Disability Welfare Plan,' 'Parenting Support Plan,' and 'Health and Medical Plan.'
In the health and medical field of this comprehensive welfare plan, based on the purpose of the Health Promotion Act enacted in 2002, we have included the city's health promotion plan that reflects the national 'Health Japan 21' and Tokyo's 'Health Promotion Plan 21', and we have set forth guidelines to promote health-building activities led by citizens, developing various projects aimed at extending healthy life expectancy.
Subsequently, in March 2012, the 'Second Inagi City Health and Welfare Comprehensive Plan' was formulated. Furthermore, in March 2018, the 'Third Inagi City Health and Welfare Comprehensive Plan' was established, with a planning period of six years from Fiscal Year 2018 to Fiscal Year 2023, and we have been working on promoting the plan.
In light of the fact that the current planning period will conclude at the end of Fiscal Year 2023, and based on the partial amendment of the Social Welfare Act in April 2018, which serves as the legal basis for the Comprehensive Welfare Plan, the Community Welfare Plan has been re-evaluated to be positioned as a higher-level plan in the fields of welfare and health, including Older Adults, persons with disabilities, children, health, and medical care. Furthermore, considering the intent of the national 'Health Japan 21 (Third Phase)', a new individual plan titled 'Inagi City Health Promotion Plan' will be formulated in March of Fiscal Year 2024.
