Third Inagi City Environmental Basic Plan

In March 2003, the city formulated the "Inagi City Basic Environmental Plan" based on the "Inagi City Basic Environmental Ordinance," and citizens, Business Operators, schools, and the city have each promoted various environmental conservation initiatives from their respective positions.
And ten more years have passed since the formulation of the second plan, during which various social developments, including the enactment of laws both domestically and internationally, have taken place.
Amid these circumstances, with the end of the second plan period, we have formulated the "Third Basic Environmental Plan of Inagi City" to comprehensively and systematically promote policies related to environmental conservation and creation, including carbon neutrality.

Positioning of the Plan

Based on the provisions of Article 8 of the "Inagi City Basic Environmental Ordinance," this is formulated to promote environmental policies comprehensively and systematically, aiming to achieve the urban vision of "Inagi City, a town surrounded by greenery and filled with friendly citizens" as stated in the "Fifth Long-Term Comprehensive Plan of Inagi City" from an environmental perspective.

Incorporated Plan

• Local Government Action Plan for Global Warming Countermeasures (Regional Measures Edition) based on Article 20 of the Law for the Promotion of Measures to Combat Global Warming
• Regional Climate Change Adaptation Plan based on Article 12 of the Climate Change Adaptation Act
• "Biodiversity Regional Strategy" based on Article 13 of the Basic Act on Biodiversity
  Note: Based on the "Inagi Biodiversity Strategy" formulated in March 2015, including parts where updates to indicators and others are necessary
• Inagi City Environmental Consideration Guidelines based on the provisions of Article 10 of the Inagi City Basic Environmental Ordinance

Duration of the Plan

From fiscal year 2023 to fiscal year 2032, a period of 10 years (subject to review as necessary based on social and economic conditions and trends of the country and Tokyo)
