50th Anniversary of Inagi City Establishment - Establishment of Inagi City Song

On November 1, 2021, as part of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Inagi City, the Inagi City song was established.

Decision on Lyrics

From April to June 2020, we solicited lyrics and received 45 submissions from across the country. As a result of the evaluation by the Inagi City Song Formulation Committee, composed of experts, and the Mayor of Inagi City, the work of Mr. Osamu Asakura (resident of Sapporo City) was selected.

Decision on the Song

From September 1, 2020 (Tuesday) to October 30, 2020 (Friday), we solicited songs suitable for the lyrics of the Inagi City song and received 169 submissions from across the country. As a result of the evaluation by the Inagi City Song Formulation Committee and the Mayor of Inagi City, the work of Ms. Yuki Takahashi (Note: Takahashi is written with the kanji for 'tall') (a resident of Yanokuchi, Inagi City) was selected.

About the Use of the Inagi City Song

The Inagi City Song will be widely known among many citizens, sung with affection, and passed down through generations. The Inagi City Song Formulation Committee has provided recommendations on how to utilize it.
The city will work to enhance and pass on the charm of Inagi through the city song, using this proposal as a reference.

Usage Examples

Creation and Lending of CDs

A CD of the Inagi City song has been created and is available for loan at all libraries in the city.

Utilization as a Broadcast Melody for Disaster Prevention Administrative Radio

The melody of the regular evening broadcast of the disaster prevention administrative radio flowing in Inagi City has been changed to the Inagi City song since March 2023.

• The audio source of the "Inagi City Song" currently broadcasting on the disaster prevention administrative radio has changed!

Use as hold music for City Hall phone calls

The hold music when calling Inagi City Hall has been changed to the Inagi City song.

To further promote the Inagi City song, we have produced a recording performed by the Inagi City-related musicians i MUSICA. Starting from September 1, 2023 (Friday), the Inagi City song, which is broadcast in the evening via the disaster prevention administrative radio, has also been changed to a recording performed by i MUSICA.
