QuestionI would like to know about the designated evacuation sites.

Response

In Inagi City, there are 19 designated evacuation shelters and 20 designated emergency evacuation locations that also serve as designated evacuation shelters. There is no designation based on your place of residence, so in the event of a disaster, please evacuate to the nearest designated emergency evacuation location or designated evacuation shelter that you can reach.

Difference between Designated Emergency Evacuation Sites and Designated Shelters

Designated Emergency Evacuation Site

A place that has the necessary area to protect the lives of evacuees from fires and other incidents that occur during a major earthquake.
For example, parks, green spaces, and grounds.

Designated Evacuation Shelter

This is established to temporarily accept and protect those who have suffered damage from earthquakes, such as house collapse or fire, or those who are at risk of such damage.
For example, buildings such as schools and Community Centers.
