Initiatives for commercialization with Tokyo University of Technology (Tamako Connection)
Efforts Towards Business Development
The Tourism Division of Inagi City, in collaboration with the Inagi City Tourism Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Tourism Association"), will undertake initiatives aimed at commercialization in partnership with the Faculty of Computer Science at Tokyo University of Technology (Supervising Instructor: Associate Professor Shigeru Hosono) as part of the Fiscal Year 2022 Tama Region Micro Tourism Project (Nickname: Tamarhythm) starting from Fiscal Year 2023.
The trigger for this initiative was the "Draft Meeting" held on December 17, 2022 (Saturday) at the Tokyo Tama Future Messe (Tokyo Tama Industrial Exchange Center), where our division and the Tourism Association expressed interest in the project proposed by the team "Tama Connection," consisting of four second-year students from the Faculty of Computer Science at Tokyo University of Technology, and voted to work towards commercialization (practical application) in the future.
In the future, we plan to widely promote the app, including holding an app experience event at the "Inagi Communication Base Pair Terrace," which serves as Inagi City's tourist information center.

What is Tamako Connection?
Team Introduction
Tamako Connection is a team composed of four second-year students from the Faculty of Computer Science at Tokyo University of Technology: Yuki Anno (leader), Yudai Abe, Taisho Yokoi, and Bin Kanari. Under the guideline of "connecting" the charm and people of the Tama region, they engage in activities. They study technology development utilizing ICT such as programming on a daily basis and are involved in regional revitalization that merges ICT with the attractions of the Tama region.
About the App
This time, Tamako Connection has developed an app aimed at rediscovering local attractions and promoting sustainable regional revitalization. This app can be easily used by simply logging into the website, allowing users to experience the charm of the area by posting and sharing photos of scenery, local specialties, shops, and gourmet food discovered during walks.
Below is the link to the app, so please take a look.
