Discover the Charm! Walk and Solve with AR Camera!
The "Tama Rhythm Project," currently being implemented as a collaborative initiative among the five cities in the Minami-Tama region. Student teams that have passed the review by experts will convey the charm of Inagi City through event hosting.
In the fiscal year 2024, a quiz rally was conducted by students from the Faculty of Computer Science at Tokyo University of Technology, allowing participants to reaffirm the charm of Inagi City while experiencing AR (augmented reality).
What is AR? What kind of quiz rally will it be?
AR stands for "Augmented Reality" and is translated as "augmented reality". It is a technology that overlays virtual images and videos onto spaces and landscapes, visually enhancing the real world. By using AR technology, you can experience a sensation as if the real world has been expanded through the overlaid images and videos.
In the quiz rally that was conducted, by using the camera of a smartphone or iPad to read the designated AR markers, quizzes and other content appear on the screen. With each answer, hints about the quiz location are provided, and based on the number of correct answers, prizes related to Inagi City were given!
You were able to casually experience AR while enjoying a quiz rally related to Inagi City.
