People began to inhabit our hometown Inagi about 20,000 years ago.
In the era known as the Paleolithic period, stone tools used by people at that time were discovered on the hills of Sakahama and Hirao.
The discovered stone tools provide us with a glimpse into the lives of people during the Paleolithic era, which was colder and harsher than today.
A page of the history of the Paleolithic era is engraved in our hometown, Inagi.
Then time passed, continuing through the Jomon period, the Yayoi period, and the Kofun period, leading up to the present day, where a long history of people has been cultivated.

Note: For specialized cultural heritage materials, the pronunciation provided by the text-to-speech tool may differ from the actual pronunciation.
