Feeding pigeons and other birds seen around the Misawa River and parks is causing harm. Even if you are feeding them with love, it affects the healthy ecosystem of wildlife. Please stop feeding them to maintain a healthy ecosystem and for environmental conservation.

Do not feed the pigeons!

Feeding wildlife can lead to overpopulation and the expansion of their habitats.
Nests are built in places where people live, leading to an increase in damage from droppings and noise.
Unable to obtain food on their own, leading to the destruction of biodiversity.

What is biodiversity?

In our daily lives, we are surrounded by plants, animals, insects, fish, and many other living things.
Living beings are connected to each other, and all living things are linked in a relationship of 'eating' and 'being eaten.'
The various supportive relationships that exist between living beings are referred to as "biodiversity."
Causing harm to familiar living creatures or feeding them indiscriminately disrupts their natural way of life, which can break the connections between living beings and hinder the ability to pass on biodiversity to the future.
Let's interact with living beings with kindness and compassion.
