Areas adjacent to roads managed by Inagi City are designated as "roadside zones." If excavation of 50 centimeters or more is to be carried out within the roadside zone, Inagi City may require prior consultation regarding the excavation for the purpose of road preservation.
The designated roadside area is determined by the width of the road in front of the excavation site, and even outside the designated roadside area, submission of a consultation document may be required.
The roadside excavation implementation consultation usually takes about 10 days for document review and on-site inspection. Therefore, if consultation is requested by Inagi City, please submit the roadside excavation implementation consultation document at least 10 days before starting construction or other work.

Regarding the Scope of Submission for the Roadside Excavation Implementation Agreement

If the excavation range falls under any of the following, it will be subject to the submission of the roadside excavation implementation agreement.

  1. If excavating more than 50 centimeters in designated roadside areas and deeper than the distance from the excavation site to the road boundary
  2. If the road manager recognizes that there is a risk of affecting the road
  3. When changing the existing ground due to embankment, excavation, etc.
  4. When deemed necessary by the road administrator

About Road Types and Designated Areas Along the Road

  1. If the width of the road in front is less than 6 meters, it is half the width of the road from the property boundary.
  2. If the width of the road in front is between 6 meters and 20 meters, it should be 3 meters from the property boundary.
  3. If the width of the road in front is 20 meters or more, it is 5 meters from the property boundary line.
  4. If the center radius of a road curve is less than 10 meters, it is 10 meters inside the curve.
  5. If there are rows of trees, dense trees, or bamboo groves along the roadside, 10 meters on that side
  6. If there is a high retaining wall connected to the road, it should be 1.5 times the height of the wall.
  7. If there are dangerous places such as quarries connected to the road, 20 meters on that side
