Subsidy Program for the Purchase of Telephones with Security Features
We will subsidize part of the cost for purchasing a telephone with crime prevention features.
Introducing phones with security features is effective as a measure to prevent special fraud damage in advance.
Eligible Equipment
In addition to the caller ID display function (commonly known as number display function), telephone equipment with any of the following features
- Call recording feature
- Function to notify the sender that it is equipped with crime prevention features
- A feature that alerts you to be cautious of special fraud when the call sound rings
- A feature that announces incoming calls from unknown numbers or numbers not registered.
- Function to reject calls from numbers that may be involved in special fraud
Application Requirements (Must meet all of the following)
- Those who have continuously had a Certificate of Residence in Inagi City from the date of purchase of the phone with crime prevention functions until the date of application for the subsidy
- Individuals aged 70 and over who have contracted the caller ID display function as of the application date (including those who are members of the same household as individuals aged 70 and over)
- Those who purchase a phone with security features on or after April 1, 2025, and apply for this subsidy within one year from the purchase date
Note: For each person aged 70 and over, the maximum number of security-featured telephones eligible for assistance is one every five years.
Subsidy Amount
Half of the purchase price of the equipment (up to 5,000 yen; amounts under 1 yen are rounded down)
- One device per person for those aged 70 and over.
- The eligible expenses are only those related to telephones and associated equipment (including tax).
- Running costs such as service fees for caller ID display functions, shipping fees, and installation fees are not eligible for subsidies.
- If points are used at the time of purchase, the amount of points used is not eligible for assistance. The purchase amount after deducting the points will be eligible for assistance.
<Example 1> Equipment purchase cost of 11,000 yen (including tax)
11,000 yen × 1/2 = 5,500 yen
Subsidy Amount: 5,000 yen (up to a maximum of 5,000 yen)
<Example 2> Equipment purchase cost 8,621 yen (including tax)
8,621×1/2=4,310.5 yen
Subsidy Amount: 4,310 yen (rounded down to the nearest yen)
<Example 3>Equipment purchase cost of 10,000 yen (including tax)
Use 2,500 yen worth of points from the purchase expenses
10,000 yen - 2,500 yen = 7,500 yen (Eligible Expenses)
7,500 yen × 1/2 = 3,750 yen
Subsidy Amount: 3,750 yen
Required Items for Application
- Application Form for Subsidy for Purchase of Crime Prevention Function Phones (Form No. 1)
- Documents certifying the facts of receipts and other expenditures
- A copy of the bankbook for the transfer account (a page showing the financial institution name, branch name, account number, and account holder's name)
