My Number Card PIN Change and Reset for Those Moving Abroad

If you wish to change your My Number Card PIN or need to reset it due to loss, you can complete the procedure at an overseas diplomatic mission or your registered domicile.
Additionally, it is also possible to change your PIN using the official personal authentication service and complete the procedure from your home computer.

Application Location (Registered Domicile in Inagi City)

  • Overseas Diplomatic Missions (Setting a password in Inagi City may take time for the procedure)
  • Citizen Affairs Division of Inagi City Hall, Hirao Branch Office, Wakabadai Branch Office (Procedures can be completed on-site)

Personal Application

My Number Card

  • Overseas Diplomatic Mission Application: The Application Form requires the entry of a PIN.
  • Inagi City Application: If you wish to change your PIN, verification of the PIN is required at the counter (verification is not necessary if you are resetting it)

Application for Legal Representative (for those under 15 years old or adult wards)

  1. Personal My Number Card
    • Overseas Diplomatic Mission Application: The Application Form requires the entry of a PIN.
    • Inagi City Application: If you wish to change your PIN, verification of the PIN is required at the counter (verification is not necessary if you are resetting it)
  2. One official identification document with a photo issued by a public office for the legal representative 1 point (such as a passport or My Number Card)
  3. Certificate of Registered Matters (for adults under guardianship)

Application via computer (Change of PIN only)

You can use the public personal authentication service to change the PIN of your My Number Card online.
In addition to an environment that can connect to the internet, an IC card reader and client software for users are required. For more details, please refer to the information below.
Note: The PIN cannot be reset.
