Businessman Road Racer

In September 2018, the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) Gran Fondo Championship was held in Italy, and Takashi Kurisu, a businessman and road racer living in Yanokuchi, participated and completed the race.
Mr. Kurisu is participating for the second time, following the 2017 tournament.
Due to transportation issues, this tournament faced significant delays in arriving at the competition venue, resulting in a challenging situation where participants had insufficient rest and energy replenishment before the race.
However, it seems that they were able to calmly approach the race by utilizing their previous experience and researching the dangerous areas of the course in advance.
Overwhelmed by the challenging course with authentic Italian cobblestones and narrow streets, I successfully completed the race, finishing 193rd out of 255 participants.
Looking back on this tournament, I said with a smile, "It was a very valuable experience. I want to participate again next time and win."

Mr. Kurisu usually works as a company employee, involved in traffic planning studies, but he also competes in various competitions as a professional road racer.
Even within a limited time, I commute by bicycle on weekdays and focus on running intensively on Saturdays and Sundays, covering about 1,000 to 1,500 kilometers a month, and I also make sure to train at home to increase my strength.
On holidays, it seems that he takes a leisurely bike ride around the town with his wife to refresh himself.
