Hikari Suzuki, a 3rd year student at Inagi Dai 1 Junior High School, achieved a remarkable victory in the synchronized swimming competition (solo category for ages 13 to 15) at the "40th National JOC Junior Olympic Cup Summer Swimming Competition" held in Sapporo in August 2017. She also accomplished an outstanding performance that earned her the tournament's Most Valuable Player award in the same category.
Mr. Suzuki has achieved podium finishes in various competitions held both domestically and internationally.
This year, at the "9th AASF Asian Age Group Championships" (synchronized swimming) held in Uzbekistan in September, I represented Japan in the solo category for ages 13 to 15 and won first place, and also achieved second place in the figure competition.
This was the first time participating in an overseas expedition, and there were some difficulties such as not being able to adjust to the food, but they spoke with a smile, saying, "I was able to approach the match relaxed."
Suzuki, who has a wonderful smile, is involved in synchronized swimming, which is a performance sport. It is said that during practice, not only do they synchronize with their teammates and the music, but there is also guidance on maintaining their smiles.
Mr. Suzuki, a member of the synchronized swimming Japan national team. When asked about his future aspirations, he confidently expressed, "I will do my best to gradually raise my goals and perform in a way that is true to myself."
Given the season, expectations for participation in the Tokyo Olympics are also growing. Let's support Suzuki-san as they steadily work towards their goals.
