MLB CUP 2017 Runner-up The motto is all baseball

The Inagi Little League (4th and 5th grade elementary school students), a youth baseball team active in the city, achieved second place in the MLB CUP 2017 (National Baseball Tournament for 4th and 5th grade Little League) held in July this year in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.
The tournament featured 16 teams that advanced from regional qualifiers across the country. During the tournament, it rained, and there were incidents such as matches being postponed to the next day, but the players approached the games with great enthusiasm.
Although they achieved a wonderful result of being the runner-up in their first national tournament, the players were reportedly so upset that they broke down in tears after the match.
When I spoke with Shuji Yamada, the MVP of the pitching department and captain, he said, "I am happy with the runner-up position, but I am frustrated that we couldn't win. The fifth graders and I will work hard to aim for the world in the higher class, so I hope the juniors can achieve national victory."
With this regret in our hearts, let's sweat it out on the grounds of the Tamagawa and support further growth towards the national championship.
